Scope of Works
ASSA ABLOY Security Doors designed, supplied and installed over 800no steel doorsets including Powershield Personnel & Powershield Fire and bespoke removable crowd-segregation screens.
The Works
All steel doors and segregation screens were designed by Senior Draughtsman Graeme Devenney using Autocad 2002 with Mechanical Desktop version 6 and Auto SM. Following the drawing approval process the construction information was seamlessly downloaded to computer numerically controlled manufacturing equipment within the factory using CAD/CAM software.
Following a complete site survey using Laser measuring equipment the doors and screens were uniquely manufactured to suit the exact requirements and structural openings of the project.
Powershield steel doors and screens were finished with a polyester powder coated finish to corporate colours selected by the client. The paint was applied in-house using a fully automated powder application system ensuring a consistently high quality durable finish.
All hardware was factory fitted to ensure correct installation and make certain that the steel doors were despatched completed ready for site installation.
Site installation was completed by directly-employed door fitters with typically 2 men on site at any time. Despite the large volume of steel doors and low number of site personnel the sub-contract was completed on time and to the complete satisfaction of both Main Contractor and client.
