Project Outline
As part of the regeneration and rebuilding of Iraq, the US Military is looking to maintain a presence in the country to oversee security matters in the region.
A number of Military Bases are currently being constructed to try and secure peace in the country, while also rebuild Iraq’s infrastructure after over six years of fierce fighting. The safety of the people charged with the redevelopment of Iraq is paramount to creating a successful and free future for the Iraqi people.
Scope of Works
Powershield designed, manufactured and shipped 31 no Powershield R1 Ballistic Doorsets.
The Works
Doors were designed by Project Draughtsmen Robert Galbraith, using AutoCAD 2002 with Mechanical Desktop version 6. Following the drawing approval process the construction information was downloaded to computer numerically controlled manufacturing equipment within the factory using CAD/CAM software.
The customer required high specification ballistic steel doors for a US Air Force Base in Iraq with specific hardware. Powershield were able to meet the client’s needs exactly and offer a product that matched their individual requests.
Doors were manufactured, powder primed and fitted with all specialist hardware in-house prior to despatch to ensure a quality finished product arrived on site.
