Powershield have almost completed installation of steel fire doors at King's Cross station.
Specialised fire doors were supplied within the tunnel interfaces between underground access points, stations and ticket offices. The doors had various unique design characteristics which Powershield developed and then built a corresponding prototype. Fire safety was a fundamental element of this contract and doors were successfully tested through Exova Warringtonfire.
Powershield are pleased to be involved with this project, enhancing their relationship with London Underground through their association with both Metronet and Tubelines. Other stations we have supplied doors to include Stratford, Holborn, Euston and Embankment, to name a few.
