Powershield have just been awarded the contract to supply and install steel doorsets to New Court, the new headquarters for NM Rothschild & Sons in St Swithins Lane, London.
Approximately 250 hinged steel doors are to supplied and fitted, as well as a specialist sliding fire-rated door, and roller shutter doors. All doors will be generally located to back of house and basement areas.
New Court will be Rothschild's third building on this site, allowing them to bring together all London employees, while catering for its continuing expansion and meeting the communication and technological demands of 21st century investment banking.
The building will be the first designed by Pritzer prize-winning architect Rem Koolhaas in this country. The current building's irregularly-shaped site footprint and inefficient layout will be replaced by 140,000 sq ft of high-quality office space, an archive and research room, roof garden and a sky pavillion offering panoramic views across the city.
