Powershield doors are being installed in one of London’s most ambitious West End redevelopments, Quadrant 3.
Approximately 600 high performance steel doors are being manufactured for the project, comprising Powershield Fire doors, duct doors and smoke vent doors, many with specially designed steel frames to be integrated into the building's wall system.
Main Contractor for the project is Sir Robert McAlpine. Powershield doors were also recently installed on Riverbank House and Watermark Place, other London projects completed by SRM.
The 94-year old Regent Palace Hotel is being converted as part of the Crown Estate's plans to create a new identity for Regent Street. The 1000-room hotel is being replaced by a mix of office, retail and residential space.
Regent Street was designed by the architect John Nash in 1811. It was immediately recognised as the centre of London's social scene, with the Café Royal a favourite haunt of talents such as Oscar Wilde and TS Eliot. The famous curve of the street is wholly owned by one organisation - The Crown Royal.
