New Fire-Rated Sliding Door Launched
As part of their continuing research and development programme, ASSA ABLOY Security Doors have now added a fire-rated sliding door to their product range.
The 2.4mm wide x 2.5m high door was successfully tested by Exova Warringtonfire in accordance with BS476 Part 22; 1987. The Powershield Sliding Fire door is offered as a manually-operated unit complete with a self-closing mechanism and can provide up to 100mins integrity only fire resistance
Doors can be manufactured in either a polyester powder coated, galvanised or stainless steel finish.
Improved Integral Astragal
ASSA ABLOY Security Doors have dramatically improved the design of the overlapping astragal detail on double leaf steel doors and single leaf security steel doors to provide a more aesthetically-pleasing finish, coupled with all the advantages of integrating the astragal within the leaf construction.
The new detail changes the projecting overlapping detail to a completely flush finish on the front of the steel door leaves. This new detail provides an improved architectural appeal while still maintaining the fire integrity on double leaf steel doors and the security features of an anti-jemmy edge.
